The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (service) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
Warning: To avoid permanently imprinting a fixed image onto your TV screen, please do not display the same stationary images on the screen for more than 15% of your total TV viewing in one week.
Examples of stationary images are letterbox top/bottom bars from DVDs or other video sources, side bars when showing standard TV pictures on widescreen TVs, stock market reports, video game patterns, black or bright Closed Caption backgrounds, station logos, web sites or stationary computer images. Such patterns can unevenly age the picture tubes causing permanent damage to the TV. Please see page 6, 12 or 30 for a detailed explanation.
